Write a story

Katie just loved taking walks downtown. It was such a nice way to get some fresh air. What she didn't like where the people she would meet while walking downtown, so as a general rule she kept to herself.

This particual Saturday morning didn't go that way.

As usual, Katie took her little poodle out for a nice stroll. Her poodle seemed to favor a tree, not to far away from a pay phone.

"A pay phone?" Katie chuckled to herself. "Talk about an outdated object."

As if on cue, the pay phone decided to ring. It startled Katie, and she tilted her head to the side. The phone rang three more times before stopping.

Interesting... she thought.

Only for the phone to ring, yet again.

"Curiosity doens't just kill cats," she muttered to herself as she approached the phone. Finally, she picked it up. "Hello?"

"Ay. Regina der?"

Katie frowned. "Regina?"

"Did I studda? Wea Regina at?"

Katie pulled the reciever from her ear and stared at it. Finally, she placed it back to her ear and said, "Regina? Regina who?"

"Don be axin' no questions. Jus give Regina da phone."

Katie frowned deeper. "You do realize this is a pay phone, right?"

"Uh, duh. Now, give Regina da phone."

Katie looked up the street.

Katie looked down the street.

Katie looked at the reciever.

She hung up the phone.

When the phone started ringing again, she pulled her poodle along and kept it moving. Seems not only crazy people walk downtown, they also call random pay phones looking for people. Well...hopefully Regina gets the message.
