I was all wrong. This wasn't the spot I thought we buried her. Jason was in front of me pointing left, and the sky was darkening. My mind was all over the fucking place. He's pointing left, when I swear we buried her right by this patch of weird leaves that looked like lettuce. Still, Jason swore that we needed to head left more. Really, when you commit such a crime, and forget where you buried the body, needing to go back to get it because you "accidentally" left the weapon right by the body, possibly with your prints... going back is not the best idea, for the sake of getting fucking caught. I followed Jason left. I think we were going South. I have no fucking clue, I just followed. That's how Ari ended up dead in the first place. Jason had a dumb idea, and I followed. No, I'm not telling you what happened, just that we tried and tried to find her body in that field and didn't succeed.

I woke up the next day with the weirdest feeling that Ari was dead. My mind tells me she's alive, that killing her was a dream. I called her cell phone and a detective answered, "This is Ari's phone, Derek, what are you doing calling her, and do you know where Jason is?"

What the fuck, I thought, I thought I was dreaming...

NICE. I like how you stepped so definitely into Derek's voice. A completely different tone than you usually write in. I love it.
